Napped Flap Bag
on a Gold Chain
A rectangular flap bag in a warm tan napped finish, on a gold chain, with a gold plaque on the flap.
A soft, matt surface against hard gold hardware.
The one bag that reads warm rather than shiny
A napped surface takes light instead of throwing it back, so this reads soft and warm next to skin and next to wool. It is the reason a tan matt bag works through autumn where a glossy one looks out of season.
Listed at checkout in brown, in one size.
Napped surface, chain strap
The body is a rectangular flap bag with a squared-off base and a gathered panel at one end, worked in a soft matt nap rather than a smooth or coated surface, with a gold plaque set on the flap.
The strap is a gold chain that can be doubled to shorten the drop, and the flap folds down over a single main compartment.
How it carries

Why it costs what it costs
A napped surface cannot be wiped clean the way a coated one can, so it has to be cut and handled properly from the start — no glue marks, no pressure marks from the clamps. That care is in the piece before it ever reaches a box.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- A soft napped surface rather than a coated one
- A gold chain that doubles to shorten the drop
- A squared base that keeps the shape
- One colour, one price

1 × Napped Flap Bag on a Gold Chain
How big is it?
It is a small shoulder bag.
What material is it?
A soft matt napped finish.
Can the chain be doubled?
Yes. It is shown both long and doubled, so the drop can be shortened that way.
Is there another colour?
No. This one colour only.
How should it be cleaned?
A napped surface is brushed, not wiped. Use a soft dry brush and keep it away from water and solvent.
Will it mark?
A matt nap holds a mark more readily than a coated surface, and brushing the pile back is the usual fix.
One colour, held in a small run
This is stocked in small quantities rather than carried continuously. When it goes it is not automatically repeated.
Add it to the bag. If it is not right, send it back.
