Blocking the colour is harder than printing it
A printed jumper is one panel with a pattern laid over it. This is knitted in blocks, so the yarn actually changes at the shoulder and again at the cuff — which means the pattern cannot drift out of line with the seam, because the seam and the pattern are the same event.

Why it costs what it costs
Changing yarn mid-row is where knitwear costs money: every colour change is a join that has to be carried and then trimmed by hand, and on a jumper with three blocks and two sleeves there are a lot of them. It is why the cheap version of this is always a print.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
