A chunky rectangle in solid acetate, with a broad temple and a gold plaque at the hinge. Six colourways, four of them mirrored.
Polarised lenses with anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering.
Blunt on purpose
There is nothing subtle about this frame and there is not meant to be. The front is a thick rectangle with square corners, the temple is almost as deep as the lens, and four of the six colourways come mirrored. It is eyewear used the way a colour is used — as the loudest thing in the outfit rather than the thing that finishes it.
Photographed here in Black. The same front is offered in six colourways.
Thick, square, solid
The front is moulded acetate in a solid pigment, cut with square corners and carried well beyond the lens on every side. There is no taper and no rounding — the edge is left flat, which is what makes the colour read so strongly from a distance.
The temples are broad acetate arms on metal hinges, each set with a raised gold-tone plaque on the outer face. They sit almost as deep as the lens, so the frame closes off the side of the face as well as the front.
The frame is acetate; the tortoiseshell pattern runs through the material rather than being printed on it.
Where it sits
- A medium-wide rectangle that sits low on the brow and clear of the cheek
- Broad temples close off the side, so less light comes in from the edge
- Thick acetate spreads the weight across the bridge instead of pinching it
- A moulded acetate bridge, so the height on the nose is fixed rather than adjustable
- Square corners read wider than the frame actually is
Filtered, not just tinted
The lenses are polarised with an anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering across UVA and UVB. Polarisation is what removes the flat white shine off a wet road, a windscreen or open water; UV400 is the protection figure, and it is the number worth reading on any pair.
The mirrored finishes reflect light away at the surface as well as filtering it, which is why they read darker from outside than they feel from behind.
Six colourways, one front
Blue, Gray, Pink and Black Clear Lenses are the mirrored finishes; Black is a solid dark lens and Leopard is a rose gradient on a tortoiseshell front.
Why it costs what it costs
A thick acetate front in a solid colour is not the cheap way to build a frame. The pigment has to run through the block rather than sit on top of it, the wide temples need a proper hinge rather than a pressed pin, and a mirrored polarised lens costs more than a plain tint. None of that is where the usual shelf price comes from.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a build like this is simply not in the price. What that money pays for instead is the lens — polarised with UV400 on all six colourways, rather than the good lens being reserved for one finish.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the frame
- Polarised, UV400 lenses rather than a plain tint
- Solid-pigment acetate rather than a thin printed plastic front
- Metal hinges on a broad temple, not a pressed pin joint
- Six colourways at one price, four of them mirrored

Is this a big frame?
It is thick rather than wide. The lens opening is a medium rectangle; what makes it read large is the depth of the acetate around it and the width of the temple.
Are the nose pads adjustable?
No. The bridge is moulded into the acetate front, so the height on the nose is fixed. An optician can warm and reshape acetate slightly, but not the way metal pads adjust.
What does polarised actually change?
It removes the flat glare that bounces off horizontal surfaces — wet tarmac, a car bonnet, water, snow. Colours look deeper and you squint less. It is separate from UV filtering, which this lens also carries at UV400.
Do mirrored lenses scratch more easily?
The mirror is a coating on the outer face, so a scratch shows on it more clearly than on a plain tint. Rinsing before wiping is what keeps it intact.
Is the tortoiseshell printed on?
No. The pattern runs through the acetate block, so it does not wear off at the edges the way a printed finish does.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with the cloth supplied. Keep acetate away from heat — a car dashboard in summer is what warps a frame, not wear.
Six colourways, and not many of each
Each finish is held in a small run. The pink and the blue are the two that go first, and when a colourway goes it is not always brought back.
Pick your colourway above and add it to the bag. If it is not right on your face, send it back — the only thing you risk is missing the one you wanted.
