Woven Straw Tote
An open straw tote with woven handles, photographed with a matching flap pouch. Off white.
A woven straw body with an open top and woven handles.
Open weave, which is the point
You can see through it. A closed basket would hold more and show less, but an open weave is lighter, dries when it gets wet and does not hold sand — which is what a summer bag actually has to do.
Listed at checkout as Off White, in one size.
Woven straw, open top
The body is woven straw in an open lattice, cut wide at the top and flat at the base, with twin woven handles rising from the sides.
A small matching flap pouch on a cord appears alongside the bag.
How it carries
- An open weave that lets sand and water through
- Twin woven handles rising from the sides
- A flat base, so it stands when it is set down
- An open top rather than a closure
- One colour, one size
The product
An elegant silhouette, a spacious interior for daily essentials and a comfortable shoulder carry, for work, travel, shopping and everyday wear.
One colour
Listed at checkout as Off White, in one size.
Why it costs what it costs
An open weave has to be tensioned as it is made, because there is no backing behind it to hold the pattern. Every row is set against the last one rather than against a panel.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- A woven straw body rather than a printed one
- Twin handles woven from the body
- A flat base that stands on its own
- One colour, one price

1 × Summer Woven Straw Tote
How big is it?
It is a mid-size tote.
Does the pouch come with it?
No. A small matching pouch is shown alongside it but is not included.
Is it lined?
No. The weave shows from the inside as well, so there is no full lining.
Will things fall out?
The top and the weave are both open, so this is a beach and market bag rather than a secure one.
Can it get wet?
Yes. An open straw weave dries quickly — just do not leave it soaking.
How should it be cleaned?
Shake it out and brush the weave dry. Do not scrub it.
One colour, held in a small run
This is a seasonal piece held in small quantities rather than carried continuously. When it goes it is not automatically repeated.
Add it to the bag. If it is not right, send it back.
