A square that never goes hard
Squared eyewear can read severe. This one does not, because the corners are rolled rather than cut and the rim is kept to a hairline of metal. The shape registers as geometric from a distance and soft up close, which is the reason it sits comfortably on faces that usually avoid an angular frame.

Built out of thin metal
The rim is a single run of thin metal wire in a gold-tone finish, closed at the top by a flat brow bar that also forms the bridge. Nose pads sit on adjustable arms, so the frame can be set higher or lower on the nose instead of resting where it lands.
The temple is the detail that carries the piece. A woven brick-link section runs from the hinge along most of the arm, catching light the way a bracelet does, and finishes in a smooth moulded tip in black. A small round marker sits at the outer top corner of each rim.

Filtered, not just tinted
The lenses are polarised with an anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering across UVA and UVB. Polarisation is what cuts the flat white shine off a wet road, a windscreen or open water; UV400 is the protection figure, and it is the number worth reading on any pair.
Gradient colourways run darker at the top and clear towards the bottom, which keeps the lower field of vision open for reading a phone or a menu.

Four colourways use the gold-tone rim; Black Smoke is the same frame finished in black metal with a black woven temple.
Why it costs what it costs
A metal frame is not the cheap way to build a pair of sunglasses. Adjustable pads, barrel hinges and a woven temple all cost more than a moulded plastic front with a pin joint, and a polarised lens costs more than a tint. None of that is where the usual price comes from.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a frame like this simply is not in the price. What that pays for is the lens — polarised and UV400 on all five colourways, rather than the good lens being held back for the expensive one.

Is this a wide frame or a narrow one?
Medium to wide. The lens is squarer than it is tall, so it covers more of the eye area than a round frame of the same width. On a narrow face it will read oversized, which for this shape is usually the point.
Can the nose pads be adjusted?
Yes. They sit on metal arms and can be pinched closer or eased apart by hand to raise or lower the frame. Any optician will do it in a minute if you would rather not.
What does polarised actually change?
It removes the flat glare that bounces off horizontal surfaces — wet tarmac, a car bonnet, water, snow. Colours look deeper and you squint less. It is separate from UV filtering, which this lens also carries at UV400.
Will the gold-tone finish wear?
It is a gold plating, and it keeps its finish best when the pair goes back into its case rather than loose into a bag.
Can prescription lenses be fitted?
The frame is a standard full-rim metal build, so an optician can usually reglaze it. The fit of the rim is the deciding factor, not the frame itself.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with the cloth supplied. Dry-wiping a dusty lens is what causes the fine scratching people blame on the coating.
Five finishes, and not many of each
Each colourway is held in a small run. The mirrored and the blue move fastest, and when a finish goes it is not always brought back — the frame is carried, the lens is not.
