Open-Front
Hooded Cardigan
A longline hooded cardigan in a soft knit, open-fronted with dolman sleeves. Eleven colours.
Nothing fastens. It is meant to hang open.
A dolman sleeve has no armhole to fit
Cut the sleeve as part of the body and there is no seam at the shoulder to get wrong, but there is also nothing holding the shape — the whole thing hangs from where the underarm falls. Set that too high and it binds; too low and it swamps. It is the one measurement that matters.
Soft knit, hood, no buttons
This hooded sweater is soft, versatile from casual days to cosy nights, and comfortable enough to live in.
The cardigan photographed is longline and open-fronted with no buttons, a full hood, dolman sleeves gathered into long ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem. Eleven colours appear in the gallery.
How it wears

The product
A hooded sweater, soft and comforting, effortlessly chic, versatile from casual days to cosy nights, and built around a generous hood.

Why it costs what it costs
A hood on a knitted cardigan is dead weight unless the shoulders are knitted heavily enough to carry it. Get the balance wrong and the whole front drags backwards off the neck, which is the failure you see on almost every cheap hooded knit.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the piece
- A hood carried by the shoulder, not the neck
- Long ribbed cuffs on a dolman sleeve
- Eleven colours, one style
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
