Ruched Nappa
Shoulder Bag
A small pink nappa bag gathered into a dense ripple, with a top handle and a 110 cm strap.
The surface is gathered, not printed. It moves when you do.
More leather than the bag needs
A gathered surface uses roughly twice the hide of a flat one, because the panel is stitched down into ripples and everything that disappears into a fold still had to be cut and paid for. That is the whole cost of this finish.
Nappa, gathered and stitched
It has a nappa leather worked in a gathered, structured surface, a fully lined interior and gold-tone metal with a metal plaque on the front.
It closes on a zip along the top. A sturdy top handle carries it on the shoulder, and a removable, adjustable strap runs up to about 110 cm for a crossbody carry.
How it carries
- A sturdy top handle for the shoulder
- A removable, adjustable strap to about 110 cm
- A zip along the top
- A fully lined interior
- Room for a large smartphone
The product
Exterior: gathered nappa leather. Interior: fully lined. Gold-tone details with a metal plaque on the front. Closure: top zip. Sturdy top handle plus a removable, adjustable shoulder strap to approx. 110 cm. Height 17 cm, width 20–23 cm, depth 6–7 cm.
One colour
Offered in a pink nappa. This is the only colour.
Why it costs what it costs
Gathering has to be even along its whole run or the ripples read as creases instead of a pattern. There is no machine for it: the leather is fed in by hand against a gauge, and a panel that drifts cannot be unpicked and redone because the needle holes remain.
