Checked Canvas
Barrel Bag
A barrel bag in checked coated canvas, with twin handles, a full-length zip and a detachable strap.
A checked coated canvas with a red lining and a padlock.
The shape that does not date
A cylinder with two handles and a zip along the top has been made the same way for a century, because there is nothing on it to go out of fashion. What changes is the print. The shape does not.
Listed at checkout as Monogram Brown, in one size.
Barrel body, full-length zip
The body is a checked coated canvas over a barrel shape, with dark leather handles, trim and base tabs, and a zip running the full length of the top.
A detachable strap clips to rings at the ends, and a padlock hangs from the handle.
How it carries
- A barrel body with twin rolled handles
- A zip along the full length of the top
- A detachable strap on end rings
- A red lining, so the inside is easy to see
- A padlock on the handle
The product
An elegant silhouette, a spacious interior for daily essentials and a comfortable shoulder carry, for work, travel, shopping and special occasions.
One colour
Listed at checkout as Monogram Brown, in one size.
Why it costs what it costs
A barrel is two discs and a sleeve, and the zip has to finish flush against both ends. There is no flat panel to absorb an error, which is why the shape is a fair test of how a bag is built.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- A coated canvas body rather than a printed cloth
- A full-length zip rather than a flap
- A detachable strap and a padlock
- One colour, one price
