Printed Canvas
Barrel Bag
The barrel bag in printed coated canvas, with pale leather handles, a full-length zip and a strap.
Pale untreated leather trim that darkens with use.
The trim is meant to change colour
The handles and tabs start pale and go honey, then amber, with handling and light. If you want a bag that looks the same in five years, this is not it — and if you want one that looks used in the good sense, it is exactly it.
Listed at checkout in brown, in one size.
Barrel body, pale trim
The body is a printed coated canvas over a barrel shape, with pale untreated leather handles, tabs and base trim, and a zip running the full length of the top.
A detachable strap clips to rings at the ends, and a padlock hangs from the handle.
How it carries
- A barrel body with twin rolled handles
- Pale leather trim that darkens with use
- A zip along the full length of the top
- A detachable strap on end rings
- A padlock on the handle
The product
An elegant silhouette, a spacious interior for daily essentials and a comfortable shoulder carry, for work, travel, shopping and special occasions.
One colour
Listed at checkout in brown, in one size. The checked version of the same shape is sold as a separate product.
Why it costs what it costs
Untreated leather is trim with nothing on it to hide behind: no pigment, no coat, no correction. It has to be cut from an even hide or the marks show on day one rather than year three.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- Untreated leather trim rather than a pigmented coat
- A full-length zip rather than a flap
- A detachable strap and a padlock
- One colour, one price

1 × Printed Canvas Barrel Bag
Will the pale trim get dirty?
It darkens with handling and light. That is what untreated leather does; it is not a fault, and it cannot be reversed.
What material is it?
A printed coated canvas with pale leather trim.
Does the strap come off?
Yes. It clips to rings at the ends.
How does it differ from the checked one?
Same shape and build. This one is the printed canvas with pale trim; the other is the checked canvas with dark trim.
How should it be cleaned?
A damp cloth on the canvas. Leave the pale trim alone rather than scrubbing it.
One colour, held in a small run
This is stocked in small quantities rather than carried continuously. When it goes it is not automatically repeated.
Add it to the bag. If it is not right, send it back.
