Long Flap Bag
on a Heavy Chain
A long, low flap bag in an ivory embossed grain, with a gold clasp on the flap and a heavy chain-and-leather strap.
Wide and shallow — the proportion that reads as a clutch on a strap.
A clutch shape you do not have to hold
Long, low and shallow is a clutch proportion. Putting it on a chain keeps the line and gives the hands back, which is why this format has outlived every trend that produced it.
Listed at checkout in ivory, in one size.
Embossed grain, heavy chain
The body is a grained ivory with a repeating motif embossed into it rather than printed on, cut long and low, with a flap that folds down the full width of the front.
The clasp is a gold turn-piece set at the centre of the flap, and the strap is a heavy chain threaded with leather that clips off at the rings.
A grained leather-look finish, embossed rather than printed.
How it carries
- A long, low body in a clutch proportion
- A gold turn-clasp at the centre of the flap
- A heavy chain threaded with leather
- An embossed surface rather than a printed one
- One colour, one size
The product
An elegant silhouette, a spacious interior for daily essentials and a comfortable shoulder carry, for work, travel, shopping and special occasions.
One colour

Why it costs what it costs
A full-width flap has nowhere to hide. It has to close flat along its whole edge, which means the front panel and the flap are cut from material of matched thickness and the clasp is set dead centre or the whole face looks crooked.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- An embossed surface rather than a printed one
- A heavy chain threaded with leather
- A turn-clasp rather than a stud
- One colour, one price

1 × Long Flap Bag on a Heavy Chain
What shape is it?
Long and low — a clutch proportion, carried on the shoulder.
What strap does it come on?
The heavy chain threaded with leather, which clips off at the rings.
What material is it?
A grained leather-look finish, with the motif embossed into the surface rather than printed on it.
Is there another colour?
No. This one colour only.
Will an ivory bag mark?
It can. A pale grain shows marks sooner than a dark one, though a grained surface hides them better than a smooth one. A soft dry cloth used early is the whole routine.
One colour, held in a small run
This is stocked in small quantities rather than carried continuously. When it goes it is not automatically repeated.
Add it to the bag. If it is not right, send it back.
