Printed Canvas
Open Tote
An open tote in printed coated canvas, with pale leather handles, side cinch straps and a striped lining.
No zip, no flap — an open mouth and two long handles.
An open bag is a faster bag
Nothing closes on this one. You drop things in and take them out without a zip in the way, which is what makes an open tote the bag people reach for on the days they are carrying too much to be careful.
Listed at checkout in brown, in one size.
Coated canvas, leather handles
The body is a printed coated canvas, cut as a straight-sided tote with a flat base, and the handles are a pale leather set well apart so the mouth stays open on the shoulder.
A buckled strap on each side cinches the tote in when it is half empty and lets it out when it is full. The lining is a broad stripe, so the inside of the bag is easy to read at a glance.
How it carries
- An open mouth with no zip or flap
- Handles set wide, for the shoulder
- A buckled cinch strap on each side
- A striped lining that shows the contents
- One colour, one size
The product
An elegant silhouette, a spacious interior for daily essentials and a comfortable shoulder carry, for work, travel, shopping and special occasions.
One colour
Listed at checkout in brown. The same tote is listed separately in a pale checked canvas.
Why it costs what it costs
Side cinch straps are not decoration. A tote with a wide base collapses inwards when it is light and gapes when it is loaded; pulling the sides in on a buckle is the oldest fix there is, and it is why the shape has outlasted every closure ever fitted to it.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- Leather handles rather than canvas straps
- Buckled cinch straps on both sides
- A coated canvas body rather than a printed cloth
- One colour, one price
