An oval with a corner
A plain oval reads soft and a full cat-eye reads theatrical. This sits between them: the lens is oval for most of its run, then the outer corner lifts and comes to a point. It is a small move, and it is what stops a narrow frame from looking like a pair of reading glasses.

Narrow front, wide arms
The front is kept slim — just enough acetate to hold the lens and form the point at the outer corner. All the visual weight has been moved to the temples, which are cut wide and flat and carry raised metal lettering along the outside.
That split is what makes the frame work from two angles: narrow and quiet from the front, broad and decorated in profile. The bridge is moulded into the front and the arms bend only at the tip.

Filtered, not just tinted
The lenses are polarised with an anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering across UVA and UVB. On a small lens the protection matters more, not less — less of the eye area is covered, so what is covered needs to be doing the job properly.
Four tints across the range: near-black grey, warm brown, bottle green and a purple-grey gradient. All carry the same filter.

Why it costs what it costs
A narrow front is not cheaper to make than a wide one. The wide temples then carry metal lettering set into the acetate rather than printed on it.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a frame like this is not in the price. What that pays for is the cutting and the hardware — the two things that make a small frame look deliberate instead of cheap.

Is this a cat-eye?
Not quite. A cat-eye sweeps upward along the whole top edge; here the line stays level and only the outer corner lifts. The effect is similar but far less pronounced, which is why it works on faces that find a true cat-eye too much.
How small is small?
Narrow enough to sit clear of the cheekbone and to leave most of the face visible. If you want coverage, the oversized square frames in the range do that job; this one is chosen for the line rather than the shade.
Which face shape does it suit?
Round and square faces, where the lifted corner and the horizontal line offset a soft or heavy jaw. On a long, narrow face it will add to the length rather than balance it.
Do the wide temples block your view?
No. They sit outside the field of vision but close off light from the side, which is the trade-off. It is more coverage than a wire arm and less than a wrap frame.
Can the fit be adjusted?
Not at the bridge, which is moulded into the front. An optician can warm and reshape the arms if they sit too wide — the usual adjustment on an acetate frame.
How should it be cleaned?
Cool water and a soft cloth. Keep solvents and alcohol wipes away from the acetate — they dull the polish and, over time, work at the edges of set lettering.
Six finishes, small runs of each
Each colour is cut from its own sheet, and the pointed corner makes this one of the slower shapes to finish. Pink and Tortoise go first, and a run that sells through is not always cut again.
