Embossed Leather
Barrel Bag 25 — Black
A compact black barrel bag in embossed calfskin, with a double zip and a removable strap.
Fifteen centimetres deep on a 25 cm body.
Embossed, so the pattern is in the leather
The motif here is pressed into the hide rather than printed on it, in two tones, which is why it still reads at an angle and why it cannot rub off at the corners. It also means every panel has to be cut with the pattern already in the right place.
Embossed calfskin, gold fittings
It has a soft, structured calfskin with an embossed monogram in black, a textile lining with an inner pocket and gold-tone metal.
It closes on a double zip. Two leather top handles carry it in the hand or on the forearm, and a removable, adjustable shoulder strap takes it onto the shoulder or across the body. The whole bag is about 900 grams.
How it carries
- Two leather top handles
- A removable, adjustable shoulder strap
- A double zip along the top
- A textile lining with an inner pocket
- Approx. 0.9 kg

Why it costs what it costs
A barrel is curved in two directions at once and the zip has to run over the top of that curve without pulling. Doing it on an embossed hide means the pattern has to stay square while the panel is eased round — the two requirements pull against each other, which is why this shape costs what it does.
