Power-Mesh
Bodysuit
A wire-free bodysuit with power-mesh panels at the waist and stomach and bonded flat edges.
The mesh is inside. Nothing shows through a dress.
A bonded edge is why this can go under anything
Every seam and hem on shapewear prints through whatever is over it. Bonding the edges flat instead of stitching them removes the ridge at the shoulder, the neckline and the leg, which is the difference between shapewear you can wear under a dress and shapewear you cannot.
Power mesh at the waist and stomach
It has a power-mesh lining with panels placed at the waist and stomach, and a built-in wire-free power-mesh bust, so no separate bra is needed.
The straps adjust, and the edges at the shoulders, neckline and leg openings are bonded flat rather than stitched.
How it wears
- A built-in wire-free bust
- Power-mesh panels at the waist and stomach
- Adjustable shoulder straps
- Bonded flat edges at shoulder, neck and leg
- A short-legged cut
The product
Lining: power mesh, with panels placed at the waist and the stomach. Bust: built-in, wire-free power mesh, so a separate bra is not needed. Straps: adjustable. Edges: seamlessly bonded and flat at the shoulders, neckline and leg openings.
Two versions
A brown and a black. Check the options above for what is in stock.
Why it costs what it costs
Power mesh is expensive because it has to pull in one direction and give in the other, and it has to keep doing that after fifty washes. A cheaper elastane knit does the pulling for a month and then stops, which is the only real difference between shapewear that works and shapewear that used to.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the piece
- A power-mesh lining rather than a plain knit
- A built-in bust, so no separate bra
- Bonded flat edges that do not print through
