Soft Grained Tote 23
with Snap Sides
A small grained leather tote whose sides snap in or let out, in a deep chocolate brown.
Snap the sides in and it narrows. Let them out and it does not.
A bag with two widths
Side snaps are the oldest trick in luggage and almost nobody puts them on a small bag. Fastened, the sides pull in and the shape reads neat and narrow; unfastened, the same bag opens out and takes a good deal more.
Grained calf, canvas inside
It has a canvas combined with a grained calf leather outside, a canvas lining inside and palladium-coloured metal, with snap buttons on each side that adjust how wide the bag sits.
Two rolled leather handles carry it in the hand or on the arm, and a separate shoulder strap, not included here, takes it across the body.
How it carries
- Two rolled leather handles, hand or arm
- Side snaps that adjust the width
- A pale canvas lining
- Palladium-coloured metal
- A separate strap can be added, not included

Why it costs what it costs
A snap that changes the shape of a bag has to be anchored through a panel that is also carrying the load, so the reinforcement behind it is doing two jobs at once. It is the sort of detail that costs real money and shows only when you use it.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- Grained calf leather with a canvas lining
- Side snaps that change the width
- Two rolled handles, not folded ones
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
