Square Rimless
Sunglasses
An oversized rimless square hung from a gold-tone brow bar, with a worked hinge block and a black temple. Six colourways.
Polarised lenses with anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering.
Size without a frame around it
An oversized lens usually comes with an oversized frame, and that is what makes big eyewear read heavy. Here the rim is removed entirely: the lens hangs from a gold-tone bar across the brow and is held nowhere else. You get the coverage of a large square and almost none of the visual weight that normally comes with it.
Photographed here in the grey-lens finish. The same build is offered in six colourways.
Hung from a bar
The lens is a single oversized square, drilled and mounted along a flat gold-tone bar that runs across the brow and forms the bridge. Below and outside that bar there is no frame at all, which is why the shape ends in a clean cut edge rather than a rim.
At each end of the bar sits a worked metal block where the hinge lives, and the temple runs back from it as a flat black arm. The contrast between the gold hardware and the black arm is what carries the frame in profile.
Where it sits
- An oversized square that covers well past the outer corner of the eye
- Nose pads on metal arms set the height and keep the lens off the cheek
- No lower rim, so nothing sits in the line of sight when you look down
- A rimless lens is structural — handle the pair by the arms rather than the lens
- Reads large on any face, which is the look rather than a fit issue
Filtered, not just tinted
The lenses are polarised with an anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering across UVA and UVB. Polarisation is what removes the flat white shine off a wet road, a windscreen or open water; UV400 is the protection figure, and it is the number worth reading on any pair.
Every colourway is a gradient — strongest at the top, clearing towards the bottom — which is what keeps a lens this large from feeling closed in.
Six colourways, one build
The six options are listed as Purple Gold, Gold Black, Red, Red Wine, Midnight Black and Purple Black — the swatches above show the lens of each pair in the range. Pick by name from the options above the page.
Why it costs what it costs
A rimless build is more work than a framed one, not less. Each lens has to be cut oversized and drilled without cracking, and the brow bar has to hold it square with nothing underneath supporting the shape. A polarised lens costs more than a tint. None of that is where the usual shelf price comes from.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a build like this is simply not in the price. What that money pays for instead is the lens — polarised with UV400 on all six colourways, rather than the good lens being reserved for one finish.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the frame
- Polarised, UV400 lenses rather than a plain tint
- Drilled rimless mounting instead of a moulded plastic rim
- Nose pads on adjustable arms, so one frame fits a range of bridges
- Six colourways at one price

Are rimless sunglasses fragile?
They are more exposed than a framed lens, because the lens itself is structural. Handled by the arms and kept in a case they last well; what breaks them is pushing them up by the lens.
Can the nose pads be adjusted?
Yes. They sit on metal arms below the brow bar and can be pinched closer or eased apart by hand. Any optician will do it in a minute if you would rather not.
What does polarised actually change?
It removes the flat glare that bounces off horizontal surfaces — wet tarmac, a car bonnet, water, snow. Colours look deeper and you squint less. It is separate from UV filtering, which this lens also carries at UV400.
Is it too big for a small face?
It will read oversized, which is the intent of the shape. Because there is no rim below the lens, though, it sits lighter on a small face than a framed square of the same size.
Can prescription lenses be fitted?
Rarely worth it. A drilled rimless lens this large has to be re-cut and re-drilled to match, and most opticians will decline. Take the pair in and ask before assuming.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with the cloth supplied. Hold the lens by its edge rather than pressing on the face of it.
Six colourways, and not many of each
Each finish is held in a small run. The rose and the purple pairs go first, and when a colourway goes it is not always brought back.
Pick your colourway above and add it to the bag. If it is not right on your face, send it back — the only thing you risk is missing the one you wanted.
