Stand Collar
Overcoat
A mid-length single-breasted coat with a stand collar, an inner zip panel and a quilted lining. Four colours.
The zip panel behind the collar closes the gap at the throat.
The gap at the throat is what most coats get wrong
A buttoned front leaves a slot at the neck that wind goes straight into. A zipped inner panel behind the collar closes it without adding bulk to the outside of the coat, which is why this detail survives on coats that otherwise look formal.
Buttoned outside, zipped inside
A sleek overcoat with a zipped inner collar panel, ornate buttons and a refined finish.
It is single breasted with a stand collar, an inner panel zipping up behind it, welt pockets at the hip, buttoned cuffs and a quilted lining. Four colours are offered.
How it wears
- A stand collar over an inner zip panel
- A single-breasted button front
- Welt pockets at the hip
- Buttons at the cuff
- A quilted lining inside
The product
Sleek and timeless: a stand collar with an inner zip panel behind it, ornate buttons and a refined finish, at home on a casual outing or at a formal event.
Four colours
A tan, a navy, a grey and a black. Check the options above for what is in stock.
Why it costs what it costs
A quilted lining is a second garment sewn inside the first. It is cut, quilted and assembled on its own, then joined at the neck, the front edge and the cuffs so it hangs free of the shell. Nobody sees it and it is most of the labour.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the coat
- A quilted lining made as its own layer
- An inner zip panel behind the collar
- Welt pockets rather than patched ones
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
