Monogram Jacquard
Flap Bag
A curved flap bag in a blue monogram jacquard canvas with cream leather trim and a removable strap.
A woven canvas, not a printed one — the pattern is the cloth.
Jacquard is woven, not printed
On a jacquard the pattern is made by the loom as the cloth is formed, so it runs right through the weave. It cannot scuff off, fade unevenly or peel at a fold, which is what separates it from a printed canvas that looks the same on day one.
Jacquard body, leather trim
The body is a blue monogram jacquard canvas trimmed in cream leather at the flap, the strap tabs and the edges, with a monogram clasp and a buckle closure on the front.
The strap is adjustable and removable at about 95 to 115 cm, and the interior is lined in the same jacquard.
The bag photographed is a monogram jacquard canvas with leather trim.

Why it costs what it costs
A jacquard loom builds the pattern one weft at a time, which is slow and unforgiving: a single dropped thread runs the length of the panel. It is the reason a woven pattern costs many times what printing the same design onto plain canvas would.
