Long Padded
Sherpa Coat
A long hooded coat, padded on one face and faced in soft pile on the other. Six colours.
Two faces, one coat. The pile side is finished to be seen.
A coat with two good sides has no inside to hide in
On an ordinary coat the lining is chosen to be cheap because nobody looks at it. Finish both faces and every seam has to be clean from both directions, which changes how the whole garment is put together.
Padded on one face, pile on the other
A double-sided coat, warm through a soft fleece lining, thermoregulating, elegant in fit and cut with deep pockets for autumn and winter.
The coat photographed is long to below the knee, with a hood, a quilted padded face, a soft pile facing turned back at the front edge and collar, deep pockets at the hip and an open front. Six colours appear in the gallery.
How it wears
- A length below the knee
- A hood at the back of the collar

The product
Double sided, with a soft fleece lining for warmth without bulk, advanced thermoregulation that adapts to body temperature, an elegant streamlined fit, deep pockets and a versatile cut for autumn and winter.
Six colours
A black, a navy, a light grey, a green, a wine and a brown. Check the options above for what is in stock.
Why it costs what it costs
A coat this long carries its own weight from the shoulders, so every seam down the body is under load the whole time it is worn. Adding a second faced layer doubles what those seams are holding and is why long coats are the first place cheap construction shows.
