Thick
Open Hoops

Thick open hoops in 14K gold-plated stainless steel or stainless steel, water resistant. Two finishes.

Two finishes
Thick gold open hoop earrings

A thick gauge is what keeps an open hoop springing back instead of going slack.

01 The idea

Thick enough to hold its shape

An open hoop has nothing holding the two ends together, so the gauge of the tube is the only thing keeping it round. This one is cut thick and swells slightly towards the front, which is what gives it weight on the ear without closing the gap.

Offered in a 14K gold-plated finish and a stainless steel one.

02 The product

The product

These are chunky hoops plated in 14K gold and water resistant — a bold, modern design, made in 14K gold-plated stainless steel, or stainless steel for the silver.

They are a thick open hoop on a post fitting, the tube widening slightly towards the front. Two finishes are offered, gold and silver.

Silver

A 14K gold-plated finish and a stainless steel one. Check the options above for what is in stock.

06 The value

Why it costs what it costs

The base is steel rather than a soft alloy, which is what lets an open hoop keep springing back.

We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.

  • Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the pair
  • A thick gauge rather than a wire
  • 14K gold plating on steel
  • Two finishes, one style
  • Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
