Quilted body, flap pocket
The body is a soft diamond quilt with no stiffening, gathered at the top on a drawstring, so it folds down when it is light and opens out when it is loaded.
A flap pocket sits on the front panel with a metal catch, and the strap is a gold-tone chain threaded through with leather so the links do not run bare on the shoulder.
The finish is a leather look.

Why it costs what it costs
Scaling a quilt up is not a matter of stretching it. The diamonds have to stay the same size or the bag reads as a blanket, so a larger panel simply carries more of them — more stitching, more matching, more time on the same machine.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.

The finish is a leather look.
Will a pale bag mark?
It can. A pale finish shows marks sooner than a dark one. A soft dry cloth used early is the whole routine.
