Open-Weave
Crochet Tote
A sage-green crocheted raffia tote with an open mesh body, a name worked into the weave and woven handles.
An open mesh — you can see what is in it, and so can everyone else.
A summer bag that admits what it is
There is no lining and no solid panel: the body is crocheted in an open mesh, so it weighs almost nothing and dries in an hour. The trade is that everything inside is visible, which is exactly why you put a pouch in it.
Crocheted raffia, no lining
The body is crocheted raffia worked in an open mesh, with a name worked into the front panel in the same material and two woven handles rising from the top edge.
There is no lining and no solid base, and a small metal charm hangs from the top edge. A leather tab sits inside against the weave.
Sage green throughout, with woven handles and no leather trim.
How it carries
- Two woven handles rising from the top edge
- An open crochet mesh, unlined
- Almost no weight, empty or full
- A name worked into the front in the same yarn

The product

One colour
Photographed in sage green. This is the only colour.
Why it costs what it costs
Crochet is made stitch by stitch by one pair of hands; there is no loom and no machine that produces this structure. A tote this size is days of work, which is the entire reason an open-weave bag costs what a solid one does despite using less material.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- Crocheted by hand, not machine-woven
- Unlined, so it dries fast and weighs nothing
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.

1 × Open-Weave Crochet Tote
Is it lined?
No. The body is an open crochet mesh with no lining, which is what makes it so light.
Will things fall out?
The mesh is open, so small items are best kept in a pouch inside. Anything larger sits where you put it.
What is it made of?
Crocheted raffia, unlined, with woven handles and a small metal charm at the top edge.
Can it be returned?
Yes. Seven calendar days from delivery, unworn and in its original condition.
One colour, held in a small run
These are crocheted by hand and stocked in small quantities rather than carried continuously. When they go they are not automatically repeated.
Add it to the bag. Seven days to send it back if it is not right.
