Bowling Bag
A grained leather bowling bag with two rolled handles, a working padlock on a key fob and a removable strap.
The padlock is a real one, on its own key.
Hardware that does something
Most bag hardware is decoration bolted on at the end. This one carries a padlock on a leather cord with its own key fob — heavy, oversized and functional, which is the detail the whole design was built around.
Grained leather, double zip
It has a structured, grained leather outside and a cotton lining with a zip pocket inside, with gold-plated metal throughout.
The top closes on a double zip with a leather pull, the padlock hangs at the front on its cord, and two short rolled handles are a 14 cm height, with a removable shoulder strap of about 50 cm.
How it carries
- Two rolled handles at 14 cm high
- A removable shoulder strap of approx. 50 cm
- A double zip with a leather pull
- A cotton lining with a zip pocket
- A padlock on a cord, with a key fob
The product
Structured, grained leather. Cotton lining with a zip pocket. Gold-plated metal. Double zip with a leather pull. Lock with key fob. Two short handles plus a removable shoulder strap. Height 20 cm, width 32 cm, depth 15 cm. Handle height 14 cm. Strap approx. 50 cm.
One version
Offered in black grained leather, with gold-plated metal.
Why it costs what it costs
A grained leather is embossed under pressure and then finished, which takes a heavier hide than a smooth bag needs — and a heavier hide is exactly what a bag carrying a metal padlock at the front requires if the panel is not to pull out of shape.
