Relaxed Cardigan
A relaxed cardigan with a round neck, a button front and deep ribbed cuffs. Three colours.
No collar, no pockets. Nothing to interrupt the front.
A round-neck cardigan is the hardest one to get right
There is no collar to hide the neckline and no pocket to break up the front, so the button band is the only vertical line on the garment. If it stretches even slightly the whole front hangs crooked, and there is nothing to distract from it.
Buttoned through, cuffed deep
This sweater is cosy and elegant, made from high-quality materials, flattering in silhouette and versatile from casual outings to quiet evenings.
The piece photographed is a cardigan rather than a pullover: a round neck, a full button front, dropped shoulders, deep ribbed cuffs, a ribbed hem and a relaxed body. Three colours appear in the gallery.

Why it costs what it costs
A button band on a knit has to be stabilised along its whole length or it grows with wear until the buttons no longer line up with the holes. It is an invisible strip of tape and it is the difference between a cardigan that closes in a year and one that does not.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the knit
- A stabilised button band on a stretching knit
- Deep ribbing at the cuff and hem
- Three colours, one style
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
