Quilted Chain Bag
— Light Pink
A gathered, quilted grained-calf bag in light pink, on a double chain strap, with a turn-lock flap pocket.
A chain that doubles, so the drop changes without a buckle.
Pale, but not delicate
Grained leather is the right choice for a pale bag: the texture breaks up the light, so the scuffs that would show as lines on a smooth pink surface simply disappear into the grain. It is why this colour survives being used.
Grained calf, double chain
It has grained calf leather outside and a leather lining inside, with gold-tone metal and a turn-lock on the flap pocket at the front.
The strap is a double chain, worn long or doubled short, so the bag goes from crossbody to under the arm without adjusting anything. The body is quilted and gathers at the top rather than closing flat.
How it carries
- A double chain, worn long or doubled short
- A quilted body that gathers at the top
- A flap pocket on a turn-lock at the front
- A leather lining rather than a textile one
- Also listed in light blue, separately
The product
Grained calf leather. Leather lining. Gold-tone metal details. Turn-lock closure. Double chain strap for short or long wear. Colour: light pink. Width 25 cm, height 15 cm, depth 7 cm.
One colour
Offered in light pink. The same shape is listed separately in light blue.
Why it costs what it costs
Quilting a grained leather is harder than quilting a smooth one, because the needle has to sit in the grain rather than across it or the lines read crooked from a distance. It is slower on the machine and it is the reason the diamonds line up here.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
