Quilted body, chain strap
The body is worked in a diamond quilt, stitched through so the pattern stands proud, with a flap that folds over the front and closes on a small metal catch.
Inside, the lining is a deep burgundy against the black, with flat slots for cards. The strap is a gold-tone chain threaded through with leather so the links do not run bare across a shoulder.
The finish is a leather look.

Why it costs what it costs
Quilting is the slow part. The lines have to meet at the corners and stay square once the panel is cut, which means the quilting is done first and the pattern matched afterwards — on a piece this small there is nowhere for an error to hide.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
