Woven Leather
Travel Bag
A long weekend bag in black nappa leather worked in a braided weave, with two top handles and a detachable strap.
Every strip cut, skived and woven by hand into the body.
A weave is not a pattern, it is the material
The body is not printed or embossed to look woven — it is built from strips of nappa threaded over and under each other. That is why it flexes, why it softens rather than creases, and why it takes a whole day of bench work to produce one panel.
One colour, one size.
Nappa leather, suede inside
It has black nappa leather with a braided weave outside and a brown suede lining inside, with antique gold-tone metal throughout.
Inside there are two open compartments, a mid-sized zip pocket and a phone pocket; outside there is a side zip pocket. The bag closes on a magnetic snap, and it carries on two top handles or on a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap.
How it carries
- Two short top handles, for the hand
- A detachable, adjustable shoulder strap
- A magnetic snap rather than a zip at the top
- Four pockets inside, one zip pocket outside
- A brown suede lining against black leather
The product
Black nappa leather with a braided weave. Brown suede lining. Antique gold-tone metal. Magnetic snap closure. Two open interior pockets, one mid-sized zip pocket, one phone pocket, one exterior side zip pocket.
One colour
Offered in black. This is the only colour.
Why it costs what it costs
A woven body uses roughly twice the leather of a plain one, because every strip overlaps the next along its whole run. That is before anyone has threaded a single row. It is the clearest example there is of cost that sits in the making rather than in the label.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.

- Nappa leather, woven rather than printed
- A suede lining rather than a textile one
- Two carries: handles and a detachable strap
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
