An aviator with the corners cut
The architecture here is the aviator one — a straight brow bar, a second bar at the bridge, a wide lens hung between them — but the lens is cut as a hexagon rather than a teardrop. Every edge is straight and the lower corner comes to a point, which turns a soft shape into an angular one without changing the way it sits.

Two bars, six sides
The front is a double-bar build in lightweight metal: a straight brow bar across the top, a second bar at the bridge, and a hexagonal lens carried between them in a fine rim. Nose pads sit on short arms below the lower bar, so the height on the nose is set rather than accepted.
The arms are thin flat metal with a short worked section behind the hinge and a moulded tip at the end. For a frame this wide there is very little material in it, which is where the lightness comes from.
It has a lightweight metal frame with polarised lenses and UV400 protection.

Filtered, not just tinted
The lenses are polarised with UV400 protection, blocking 100% of UVA and UVB radiation. Polarisation removes the flat white shine off a wet road, a windscreen or open water; UV400 is the protection figure, and it is the number worth reading on any pair.
All three lens colours carry the same treatment — the green and the brown are simply warmer to look through than the grey.

All three use the same gold-tone double-bar front; only the lens colour changes.
Why it costs what it costs
A double-bar front is more work to build than a single rim: two bars have to be brazed level with each other and the hexagonal lens cut square to both. A polarised lens costs more than a tint. None of that is where the usual shelf price comes from.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a build like this is simply not in the price. What that money pays for instead is the lens — polarised with UV400 on all three colours, rather than the good lens being reserved for one.

Is this a large frame?
Yes. The lens is cut oversized and carries past the outer corner of the eye. On a narrow face it will read big, which for this shape is the point.
Can the nose pads be adjusted?
Yes. They sit on metal arms and can be pinched closer or eased apart by hand to raise or lower the frame. Any optician will do it in a minute if you would rather not.
What does polarised actually change?
It removes the flat glare that bounces off horizontal surfaces — wet tarmac, a car bonnet, water, snow. Colours look deeper and you squint less. It is separate from UV filtering, which this lens also carries at UV400.
Which lens colour for driving?
The grey. It keeps colours closest to neutral. The brown lifts contrast in flat light and the green sits between the two.
Will the gold finish wear?
It is a gold plating, and it keeps its finish best when the pair goes back into its case rather than loose into a bag.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with a soft cloth. Dry-wiping a dusty lens is what causes the fine scratching people blame on the coating.
