Square, but not straight
The brow runs flat across the top and the lower edge stays level, but the outer corner lifts very slightly before it turns down. That small angle is what keeps an oversized square from looking like a box on the face — it borrows the smallest amount from a cat-eye without becoming one.

Where the weight goes
The front is cut thick and kept thick right to the outer corner, where most oversized frames taper to save material. That is what holds the square shape square, and it is the reason the rim reads as a defined line rather than a soft edge.
Each temple carries a long textured metal panel set into the acetate, finished with a round medallion at the hinge. The arms are wide, flat, and bent only at the very tip.

Filtered, not just tinted
The lenses are polarised with an anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering across UVA and UVB. On a lens this large the difference is obvious: an unfiltered oversized tint darkens everything, a polarised one removes the white shine off a road or a windscreen and leaves the rest.
Most of the colourways use a gradient, dark at the brow and clearing towards the bottom edge. The solid black lens is the one exception.
One front, seven finishes
Black is the only solid lens. Midnight Black, Red, Beige, Pink Silver and Rose all run a gradient; White pairs a solid frame with a flat grey lens.
Why it costs what it costs
An oversized acetate front uses more material than a standard one and takes longer to cut, and keeping it thick at the corners rather than tapering is a deliberate cost. Setting a metal panel into the temple means routing a channel and fixing it, which is a step most frames at this price skip in favour of a printed decal.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a frame like this is not in the price. What that pays for is the front and the hardware, rather than the window it would otherwise sit in.

How oversized is oversized?
Enough that the lens reaches from the brow line to the top of the cheekbone. It is a statement size rather than a subtle one — if you want a frame nobody notices, this is not it.
Which face shape does it suit?
Narrow, oval and heart-shaped faces, where the width balances a tapering jaw. On a wide or square face it will echo the jawline rather than offset it; a rounder shape does that job better.
Can the fit be adjusted?
Not at the bridge, which is moulded into the front. The temples can be warmed and reshaped by an optician if the arms sit too wide, which is the standard adjustment on an acetate frame.
Solid lens or gradient?
Solid black hides the eyes completely and is the easier one to wear all day. A gradient keeps the lower field lighter, which is better if you read a phone or a menu while wearing them.
Do the pale frames mark?
Beige, Rose and White show sun cream and skin oil sooner than the dark ones, in the way pale materials always do. Cool water and a dry cloth clears it.
How should it be cleaned?
Cool water and a soft cloth. Keep solvents and alcohol wipes off the acetate — they dull the polish and, over time, work at the edges of set metal hardware.
Seven finishes, small runs of each
Every colour has to be cut from its own sheet of acetate, so nothing here can be mixed to order. Beige and Rose go first, and a colour that sells through is not always cut again.
