The same round double-bridge build in tortoiseshell, with a warm brown gradient lens. One size, CE marked.
A round plastic frame with metal double bridges, CE marked. Supplied in one size.
The same shape, warmed up
This is the round double-bridge frame in its tortoiseshell version, and the change of material changes what the shape does. A black frame makes the twin bars read graphic; a mottled brown one makes them read vintage. Same geometry, completely different intent — which is why both are worth carrying.
Supplied in a single tortoiseshell colourway, one size, with a brown gradient lens.
Plastic front, metal bar
The rims are moulded plastic in a mottled tortoiseshell, cut round and kept narrow so the circle reads as an outline rather than a border. Across the top runs a metal double bridge — a bar at brow height and the bridge itself below it — joining the two rims and carrying the front.
The arms are plastic to match the rims, hinged at the outer corner and finished flat. The lens is a warm brown gradient: stronger at the top, clearing towards the bottom.
It has a plastic frame with double bridges in metal, one size, CE marked.
Where it sits
- A medium round that covers the eye without reaching the brow
- The upper bar sits along the line of the eyebrow rather than above it
- A moulded bridge, so the height on the nose is fixed rather than adjustable
- A narrow rim keeps the weight low across the nose
- One size — cut to a standard medium width rather than to a range
The product
This model is a round plastic frame with metal double bridges, one size, CE marked.
The lens is a warm brown gradient rather than a solid tint, so the lower field of vision stays open for reading a phone or a menu.
One frame, four views
Supplied in one colourway and one size, with the brown gradient lens.
Why it costs what it costs
A double bridge is more assembly than a single one. Two metal bars have to be set level with each other and joined into a plastic front without either bar showing a gap, which is the join most frames of this type get wrong. CE marking means the pair has been assessed against the European standard rather than simply sold.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price. That is why a tortoiseshell double-bridge round does not have to cost what one usually costs.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the frame
- Metal double bridge rather than a moulded plastic bar
- CE marked to the European standard
- Gradient lens rather than a flat tint
- One size, one price

Is there more than one colour?
No. This model is supplied in a single tortoiseshell colourway, one size. The same build in black with a mirrored lens is carried separately.
What does CE marked mean?
It means the pair has been assessed against the European standard for sunglasses. It is a conformity marking rather than a lens rating.
Is the tortoiseshell printed on?
No. It is moulded into the plastic rather than applied to the surface, so it does not wear off at the edges the way a printed finish does.
Can the fit be adjusted?
Only slightly. A moulded plastic frame can be warmed and eased by an optician, but the bridge height is fixed by the design.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with a soft cloth. Keep the frame away from heat — a car dashboard in summer is what warps a plastic frame, not wear.
One colourway, held in a small run
This is a single-run frame rather than a carried line. When the run is gone it is not automatically repeated, and tortoiseshell is always the finish that goes before the black one does.
Add it to the bag while it is here. If it is not right on your face, send it back — the only thing you risk is missing it.
