Why a dark dial changes everything
A pale dial makes a watch read as a dial. A dark one makes it read as a piece of jewellery with the time on it, because the eye stops at the case outline instead of travelling into the face. That is the whole reason this model exists alongside the pale-faced watches in the range.

Small rectangle, chain and leather
The case is a small rectangle with a squared bezel over a dark dial, roughly 22 mm across by 30 mm tall. Slim hands and small markers sit against the dark face, so the time reads close up rather than across a room.
The bracelet is a flat chain with a leather strip woven through the links along its whole length, closing at a folding clasp.
It carries water resistance to 3 metres, a scratch-resistant crystal and a 23 cm bracelet.

Why it costs what it costs
A dark dial is harder to finish than a pale one: any dust or tooling mark shows immediately against black, so the reject rate is higher. The leather is also threaded through the chain by hand.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this watch and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.

Is the time easy to read?
Close up, yes. A dark dial with slim hands reads less well at a distance than a pale one — that is the trade for the look.
