A chunky angular rectangle in acetate, cut narrow and worn low. Three colourways, with the measurements stated.
Lenses coated for complete UV protection and treated to cut glare off roads, water and snow.
Narrow, thick, angular
The opening is a short rectangle, but the acetate around it is heavy and every corner is cut rather than rounded — including a bevel at the outer edge that catches light separately from the front. It is a small lens in a big frame, which is the combination that makes a compact shape read as a statement rather than a compromise.
Photographed here in black. The same front is offered in three colourways.
Cut, not rounded
The front is moulded acetate with the bridge formed into it in one piece, carried well beyond the lens on every side. The outer corner is bevelled into a flat facet where the temple meets the front, so the frame changes shade as it turns rather than staying one flat colour.
The temples are wide flat acetate arms that step down in thickness behind the hinge. There is no metal on the face of the frame and no pad on the nose — the acetate rests directly against the bridge.
It has high-quality acetate frames, chosen for weight and durability.
Where it sits
- A narrow rectangle — 49 mm wide and 36 mm high — so it sits low on the brow and clear of the cheek
- A 20 mm bridge, moulded into the front, so the height on the nose is fixed
- Temples at 145 mm, a standard length that suits most head widths
- Thick acetate spreads the weight across the bridge instead of pinching it
- Reads compact on a wide face and deliberately oversized on a narrow one
Coated and treated
It has lenses coated for complete UV protection and treated to reduce glare from roads, water, snow and other horizontal surfaces. That second treatment is what makes a bright day easier to look into rather than simply darker.
Three colourways, one front
Black and White use a dark lens; the tortoiseshell front is paired with a warm brown one.
Why it costs what it costs
Acetate is cut from sheet rather than moulded from pellets, and every bevel on this frame has to be finished and polished separately. It is the slower way to make a frame and the reason the colour has depth in it. None of that is where the usual shelf price comes from.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price. What that money pays for instead is the build — real acetate, a UV-coated lens and a glare treatment, on all three colours.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the frame
- Lenses coated for complete UV protection
- Glare-reduction treatment for roads, water and snow
- Acetate cut from sheet rather than a pressed plastic front

How big is this frame?
It has a 49 mm lens width, 36 mm lens height, 20 mm bridge and 145 mm temples. That is a small, wide-cut lens — the frame reads larger than the numbers because of the thickness of the acetate.
Are the nose pads adjustable?
No. The bridge is moulded into the acetate front at 20 mm, so the height on the nose is fixed by the design.
What treatment do the lenses have?
A UV coating and a glare-reduction treatment, which is what cuts the shine off a wet road.
Is the tortoiseshell printed on?
No. The pattern runs through the acetate, so it does not wear off at the edges the way a printed finish does.
Will the white frame mark?
Any mark on a pale frame is surface only and lifts with a cloth. Keeping the pair in its case is what makes the difference.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with a soft cloth. Keep acetate away from heat — a car dashboard in summer is what warps a frame, not wear.
Three colourways, and not many of each
Each finish is held in a small run. The white is the one that goes first, and when a colourway goes it is not always brought back.
Pick your colourway above and add it to the bag. If it is not right on your face, send it back — the only thing you risk is missing the one you wanted.
