Two rims instead of one: a coloured outer frame with a gold wire tracing the lens inside it. Six colourways, every one a gradient.
Polarised lenses with UV400 filtering.
A frame inside a frame
The outer rim is a broad coloured band that sets the shape. Inside it, a thin gold wire traces the lens on its own line, separated by a visible gap. From a distance you read one large frame; up close you see two, and the gap between them is what gives the whole thing depth.
Shown here in Black Gold. The same construction runs across six colourways.
Two rims, one lens
Both rims are metal. The outer band carries the colour and the structure; the inner wire holds the lens and is finished in gold on every colourway, so the same warm line runs through all six. Between them sits an open gap that you can see daylight through.
The temples are slim gold-tone metal with a textured section at the hinge, finishing in a moulded black tip. Nose pads sit on adjustable arms behind the bridge.
Where it sits
- A large squared lens with the outer corner lifted into a soft cat-eye
- The outer rim sits proud of the lens, so the frame reads bigger than it is
- Adjustable nose pads set the height and keep the rim off the cheek
- Metal throughout, so the weight sits on the nose rather than the ears
- Suits round and square faces; the lifted corner does the balancing
Six gradients, no flat tints
The lenses are polarised with an anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering across UVA and UVB. Every colourway here runs a gradient rather than a flat tint, and each one is matched to its outer rim — blue with blue, pink with pink, purple with violet.
That matching is the point of the design. The lens is not a neutral behind a coloured frame; it is half of the colourway.
One frame, six colourways
Every name ends in Gold because the inner rim and the temples are gold on all six. What changes is the outer band and the lens that matches it.
Why it costs what it costs
A double-rim frame is two frames soldered into one. Both rims have to be formed, finished in different colours and aligned so the gap between them stays even the whole way round — and any drift shows immediately, because the gap is the design. It is several times the work of a single-rim metal front.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top is not in the price. What that pays for is the second rim and the matched lens.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the frame
- Two aligned metal rims rather than one printed to look like two
- Polarised, UV400 lenses rather than a plain tint
- A gradient matched to each frame colour, not one grey for all
- Six colourways at one price

Does the gap between the rims catch on things?
No — it is a narrow, closed gap rather than an open loop, so hair and clothing pass over it. What it does is let light through, which is why the frame does not read as heavy despite its size.
Which colourway is the easiest to wear?
Black Gold. The outer band reads as a normal dark frame from a distance and only shows the double rim up close. Cherry and Royal Blue are the two that announce themselves.
Can the fit be adjusted?
Yes. The nose pads sit on metal arms and can be pinched closer or eased apart to raise or lower the frame. An optician will do it in a minute if you would rather not.
Is a metal frame this size heavy?
Heavier at the front than acetate, yes, but it sits on adjustable pads rather than on a fixed bridge, so the weight can be set where you want it. That is the trade a metal frame makes.
Will the gold finish wear?
It is a gold plating, and it keeps its finish best when the pair goes back into its case rather than loose into a bag.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit from the gap between the rims, then dry with a soft cloth. That gap collects dust in a way a single rim does not.
Six colourways, and each one built twice
Every pair needs two rims formed, finished and aligned, and any drift in the gap means the frame is scrapped. That caps the run on each colour, and the brighter ones go first.
Pick your colourway above and add it to the bag. If it is not right on your face, send it back — the only thing you risk is missing the one you wanted.
