The full cat-eye, not a hint of one
The top edge climbs from the bridge all the way to a sharp point at the outer corner, and the acetate is heavy enough to hold that line without wobbling. There is no restraint in this shape. It is the fifties silhouette taken at full strength, which is why it reads from across a room.

Weight is what holds the point
A cat-eye this sharp only works in thick material. The acetate is kept deep from the bridge outwards so the rising edge stays straight and the point stays a point — in a thinner frame the same line softens within a season of being handled.
The temples are wide flat blades in the same material, each carrying a raised metal monogram at the hinge end. They taper towards the tip and bend only at the very end.

Three kinds of lens in one range
Most finishes carry a tinted lens — it is polarised, with an anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering across UVA and UVB. A further finish uses an amber lens, which lifts contrast in flat light rather than cutting brightness.
The clear-lens finishes are exactly that: an optical frame rather than a sunglass, reglazable to prescription.

Why it costs what it costs
Heavy acetate is the expensive way to build a cat-eye, and it is the only way to build one that keeps its point. The rising edge has to be cut and polished identically on both sides or the face looks lopsided, which is slow work. The monogram is then set into a routed channel in the temple rather than printed on the surface.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a frame like this is not in the price. What that pays for is the material and the cutting — the two things that decide whether a cat-eye looks sharp or cheap.

Which options are sunglasses and which are not?
The tinted and amber finishes are sunglasses with polarised, UV400 lenses. The clear-lens options are optical frames — the same front, fitted with clear lenses, ready to be reglazed. The option name tells you which is which.
Is a full cat-eye hard to wear?
It is the least subtle shape in the range, so it depends on whether you want the frame noticed. On round and square faces it does real work, lifting the outer corner and offsetting a soft jaw.
What does an amber lens do?
It raises contrast rather than cutting brightness, so edges read sharper in flat or overcast light. It is the least sunglass-like of the tints and the easiest to wear indoors.
Can the fit be adjusted?
An optician can warm and reshape the arms if they sit too wide, which is the standard adjustment on an acetate frame. The bridge is moulded into the front, so its height is set by the design.
Will the monogram work loose?
It is set into a routed channel rather than glued on top, which is the construction that holds. Solvent is what damages set hardware — alcohol wipes and cleaning sprays, not ordinary wear.
How should it be cleaned?
Cool water and a soft cloth. Keep solvents and alcohol wipes off the acetate — they dull the polish on the rising edge, which is the part that took the most work.
Nine finishes, and none of them deep
Spreading one front across nine colours means every run is small by definition. Red and Leopard go first, and a finish that sells through is not always cut again before the season turns.
