Luxury Brand Oval
Sunglasses for Women
A soft angular oval in thin gold-tone metal, with a coiled detail worked into each temple. Four lens colourways.
Polarised lenses with anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering.
An oval with corners in it
The outline is oval overall, but it is not drawn with a single curve: there is a soft angle at the outer corner and a flatter run across the top, so the shape reads as a cut oval rather than a rounded one. On a rim this thin, that small change is the whole design.
Photographed here with the brown lens. The same frame carries all four colourways.
Bent thin, worked at the arm
The rim is a fine run of gold-tone metal closed around each lens, joined by a slim bridge with nose pads on short arms. Nothing on the front competes with the lens colour, which is the point of building a rim this light.
The detail sits on the temples: a coiled section wound around each arm just behind the hinge, so the frame reads plain head-on and worked in profile. Past the coil the arm runs thin and straight into a moulded tip.
Where it sits
- A medium oval that covers the eye without reaching the brow
- Nose pads on metal arms set the height and keep the rim off the cheek
- A thin rim keeps the weight low — the frame is barely felt across the nose
- The coiled temple sits above the ear, clear of where glasses usually press
- The soft angle at the outer corner adds a lift a plain oval does not have
Filtered, not just tinted
The lenses are polarised with an anti-glare treatment and full UV400 filtering across UVA and UVB. Polarisation is what removes the flat white shine off a wet road, a windscreen or open water; UV400 is the protection figure, and it is the number worth reading on any pair.
The pink and the brown read as everyday lenses; the dark grey is the one to take driving, and the purple gradient sits between the two.
Four lenses, one frame
All four use the same gold-tone frame; only the lens colour changes.
Why it costs what it costs
A thin metal oval with an angle cut into it is fiddly to build: the rim has to hold both the curve and the corner identically on each side, and the coiled temple is a separate piece wound onto the arm. A polarised lens costs more than a tint.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a build like this is simply not in the price. What that money pays for instead is the lens — polarised with UV400 on all four colourways, rather than the good lens being reserved for one.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the frame
- Polarised, UV400 lenses rather than a plain tint
- Metal rim and metal hinges instead of moulded plastic joints
- Nose pads on adjustable arms, so one frame fits a range of bridges
- Four lens colours at one price

Is this a small frame?
Medium. The oval is cut to cover the eye without reaching the brow, so it reads neither oversized nor deliberately tiny.
Can the nose pads be adjusted?
Yes. They sit on metal arms and can be pinched closer or eased apart by hand to raise or lower the frame. Any optician will do it in a minute if you would rather not.
What does polarised actually change?
It removes the flat glare that bounces off horizontal surfaces — wet tarmac, a car bonnet, water, snow. Colours look deeper and you squint less. It is separate from UV filtering, which this lens also carries at UV400.
Which lens colour for driving?
The dark grey. It keeps colours closest to neutral. The brown lifts contrast in flat light and the pink is an everyday lens rather than a bright-sun one.
Will the gold-tone finish wear?
It is a gold plating, and it keeps its finish best when the pair goes back into its case rather than loose into a bag.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with the cloth supplied. Dry-wiping a dusty lens is what causes the fine scratching people blame on the coating.
Four colourways, and not many of each
Each lens colour is held in a small run. The pink is the one that goes first, and when a colour goes it is not always brought back.
Pick your colourway above and add it to the bag. If it is not right on your face, send it back — the only thing you risk is missing the one you wanted.
