The round frame, done plainly
A soft round lens, a keyhole notch at the bridge and a matte finish that takes no shine at all. There is no hardware on the front and no contrast anywhere — the whole frame is one colour and one texture, which is what lets a round shape sit quietly on a face instead of announcing itself.

Matte, moulded, keyhole
The front is moulded plastic in a matte finish, cut round with a keyhole notch where the bridge meets the nose — the shape that sits the frame slightly higher than a straight bridge would.
The temples are moderate-width arms that taper towards a curved tip, hinged at the outer corner. A matte surface is the practical choice on a black frame: it does not show the fine scratching that a gloss finish collects.

Why it costs what it costs
A matte moulded front is cheap to make and there is no point pretending otherwise. What costs money on a frame like this is the finishing — the keyhole cut, the taper on the arm, the fact that the matte surface is even across the whole piece rather than patchy.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price. That is why a plain, well-finished round frame does not have to cost what a plain, well-finished round frame usually costs.

What is a keyhole bridge?
A notch cut into the top of the bridge rather than a straight curve. It rests on the sides of the nose rather than the top, which holds the frame a little higher.
Does matte black scratch?
It marks differently from gloss rather than more — a matte surface hides fine scratching but shows skin oil. A wipe with the pouch takes it off.
Can the fit be adjusted?
A little. An optician can warm and ease a moulded plastic frame; the bridge height is set by the design.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with a soft cloth. Keep the frame away from heat — a car dashboard in summer is what warps a plastic frame, not wear.
