A small gold-tone metal rectangle with polarised lenses, worn close to the eye. One size.
Polarised lenses on a metal frame with a smooth gold finish.
Small, gold, rectangular
A narrow rectangle in fine gold-tone metal, cut small enough to sit just over the eye rather than across the socket. There is no brow bar and no acetate anywhere — what reads on the face is a rectangle of dark lens and two thin gold lines running back to the ear.
Supplied in a single gold colourway, one size.
Fine metal, smooth finish
The rim is a fine run of metal closed into a rectangle around each lens and joined by a slim bridge. It has a smooth gold finish rather than a textured or brushed one, which is what gives the frame its flat shine rather than a sparkle.
The arms are thin metal with a small decorative block behind the hinge and a moulded dark tip at the end. On a frame this size the weight across the nose is close to nothing.
It has a metal frame with a smooth gold finish and polarised lenses.
Where it sits
- A small rectangle that sits just over the eye rather than covering the socket
- A fine metal rim keeps the weight low across the nose
- Small pads at the bridge set the height on the nose
- Thin arms disappear at the side, which keeps the look clean in profile
- One size — cut to a standard narrow width rather than to a range
Polarised lenses
The lenses are polarised on a metal frame with a smooth gold finish. Polarisation is what removes the flat white shine that bounces off a wet road, a windscreen or open water — colours look deeper and you squint less in bright conditions.
The lens is a solid dark tint.
One frame, four views
Supplied in one gold colourway and one size.
Why it costs what it costs
A small metal rectangle is more fiddly to build than a large one: the rim has to be bent square over a short span and brazed to match on both sides, and any error of a millimetre shows on the face. A polarised lens costs more than a plain tint.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between the frame and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price. What that money pays for instead is the build — a metal rim with a smooth gold finish and a polarised lens.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the frame
- Polarised lenses rather than a plain tint
- Metal rim and metal hinges instead of moulded plastic joints
- Smooth plated finish rather than a sprayed one

Is it too small for a wide face?
It sits small and close to the eye, which is the whole point of the shape.
Are these UV rated?
Yes. The lenses carry UV400 filtering.
What does polarised actually change?
It removes the flat glare that bounces off horizontal surfaces — wet tarmac, a car bonnet, water, snow. Colours look deeper and you squint less.
Is there more than one colour?
One gold colourway, in one size.
Will the gold finish wear?
It is a gold plating, and it keeps its finish best when the pair goes back into its case rather than loose into a bag.
How should it be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water to lift grit, then dry with a soft cloth. Dry-wiping a dusty lens is what causes the fine scratching people blame on the coating.
One colourway, held in a small run
This is a single-run frame rather than a carried line. When the run is gone it is not automatically repeated, and a small gold rectangle is the shape people come back for once the season has turned.
Add it to the bag while it is here. If it is not right on your face, send it back — the only thing you risk is missing it.
