Grained Calf Tote
with Side Straps
A soft black grained-calf tote that opens from 37 cm to 50 cm on side straps.
Thirteen centimetres of extra width, when you need it.
A bag that changes size rather than shape
The side straps pull the gussets in or let them out, so the same tote is a neat 37 cm for a day at a desk and a 50 cm carry-all for a day that runs long. Nothing about the outline changes — only how much of it there is.
Grained calf, suede-lined
It has a grained calf leather in a deer-leather look, a soft tone-on-tone suede lining and gold-tone metal on a leather flap closure.
Inside there is a zip pocket and the side straps that adjust the shape. Two leather handles measure about 28 cm, for the hand or the shoulder.
How it carries
- Two leather handles at approx. 28 cm
- In the hand or over the shoulder
- A leather flap closure
- A soft suede lining with a zip pocket
- Side straps that adjust the width

Why it costs what it costs
Suede lining a soft unstructured tote is awkward work: there is no frame to stretch it against, so the lining has to be cut slightly smaller than the outer panel and eased in by hand. Get it wrong and the bag never hangs straight again.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
