Crochet Raffia
Shoulder Bag
A wide natural crochet bag with tan leather trim, a top zip and an adjustable strap.
Thirty-four centimetres wide and six hundred grams.
A woven body that still holds a shape
Crochet has no structure of its own, so a bag this wide either sags in the middle or is built on a leather frame at the top and base. Here the trim, the zip tape and the base band do that work, which is why it stays flat rather than folding in half when you pick it up.
Crochet and calf leather
It has a crochet texture in a raffia look combined with calf leather, a soft textile lining, gold-tone metal with an enamelled plaque and a zip along the top.
It carries on a single adjustable strap, at a height of about 22 to 34 cm, so it sits under the arm or on the shoulder. There is a removable leather tag and studs on the base.
How it carries
- An adjustable carrying height of approx. 22–34 cm
- Under the arm or on the shoulder
- A zip along the top
- A soft textile lining
- Studs on the base

Why it costs what it costs
Every join in a crochet panel is a knot, and a knot that sits proud shows as a bump under the leather trim once the two are stitched together. Getting a 34 cm run flat enough to take a straight leather band is the part of this bag that takes the time.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- Crochet worked against calf leather trim
- A zip, not an open top
- A carrying height that adjusts by 12 cm
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
