Small Suede
Bowling Bag
A compact brown suede bowling bag with two short handles, a double zip and an embossed front.
Twenty-three centimetres, and it stands up empty.
A bowling shape at handbag scale
The barrel is the oldest structural trick in bag-making: a curved top and a flat base give you volume without bulk, so 23 by 13 by 10 holds far more than its footprint suggests and never sags in the middle.
Velour leather, gold zips
It has a velour leather — a suede — with a fabric lining and interior pockets, gold-tone metal and a double zip along the top.
The front carries an embossed detail worked into the nap rather than printed on it. Two short handles have a height of about 9 cm, for a hand or forearm carry.
How it carries
- Two short handles, height approx. 9 cm
- Hand or forearm
- A double zip along the top
- A fabric lining with interior pockets
- A flat base, so it stands up
The product
Exterior: velour leather, a suede. Lining: fabric with inner pockets. Gold-tone metal. Closure: double zip. Embossed detail on the front. Height approx. 13 cm, width approx. 23 cm, depth approx. 10 cm. Handle height approx. 9 cm.
One colour
Photographed in a warm brown suede. This is the only colour.
Why it costs what it costs
Suede is cut once: a needle hole in the nap cannot be closed and a crease cannot be steamed out. On a curved body every panel has to be right the first time, which is why most small bowling bags are made in smooth leather instead.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
