Mini Quilted Bag
— Red, High Gloss
The same small quilted bag in a deep red with a mirror-bright finish, on a 105 cm chain.
A gloss finish reflects the room. So does every flaw in it.
Gloss is the least forgiving finish there is
A mirror surface reflects whatever is in front of it, which means it also reflects every ripple in the leather under it. The hide has to be flawless before the finish goes on, because the finish magnifies rather than hides.
Quilted leather, gloss finish
It has a smooth calf leather with diamond quilting, a lining in soft lambskin or a textile depending on the model, and gold- or silver-tone metal with lettered charms.
A double leather handle carries it in the hand or on the forearm, and a removable, adjustable shoulder strap is given at about 105 cm.
The bag photographed has a high-gloss patent finish, and the gallery shows both a metal chain and a wide fabric strap. Six bags in this catalogue share this model in different finishes.

Why it costs what it costs
A gloss finish is sprayed and cured in layers, and each layer has to go on without a speck of dust in the air. The reject rate on a red gloss panel is the highest in the workshop, and that loss sits in the price of the ones that pass.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- Quilted leather in a high-gloss finish
- A double handle and a strap that comes off
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
