Eighteen loose shadows is a drawer. Eighteen in a palette is a range that was built to sit next to each other, so the mattes and the shimmers are formulated to blend into one another rather than to fight.

Why it costs what it costs

Pressing eighteen pans that all release at the same pressure is harder than making one good shadow: a shimmer needs more binder than a matte, and if the two are pressed to the same hardness one of them will crumble in the pan. Balancing that across a whole tray is the work.

We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
