Fleece Gilet
A sleeveless zip gilet in a marled fleece knit, with a stand collar and zipped pockets.
No sleeves. That is the point — the arms stay free.
A gilet is insulation without the interference
Warmth is only needed over the core. Leaving the arms out keeps the body warm while a jacket sleeve stops fighting a shirt cuff underneath, which is the only reason this shape survives in a wardrobe that already has coats in it.
Marled knit, zipped through
It is a fleece waistcoat with a sturdy zip and two practical pockets, made to be worn through the year.
It is sleeveless, with a stand collar, a full-length zip, two zipped side pockets and a marled knit face. Four colours are offered.
How it wears
- Sleeveless, cut to layer over a shirt
- A stand collar
- A full-length zip
- Two zipped side pockets
- Four colours
The product
A fleece waistcoat cut without sleeves: a stand collar, a full-length zip and two zipped pockets, warm over the core and easy to layer under a coat or wear on its own.
Four colours
A blue, a grey, a black and a burgundy. Check the options above for what is in stock.
Why it costs what it costs
A sleeveless garment has two armholes and no sleeves to hide them, so every centimetre of that edge is on show and has to be bound cleanly. It is more finishing work per piece than a jacket needs, not less, and it is where a badly made gilet gapes at the shoulder.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the piece
- A full-length zip rather than buttons
- Two zipped pockets, so nothing falls out
- Four colours, one style
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
