Fine-Knit
Turtleneck
A close fine-gauge turtleneck with a folded collar, in six colours.
Fine gauge. It goes under a jacket without bulking the shoulder.
A turtleneck is judged at the collar and nowhere else
The body of a fine-gauge knit is easy. The collar is not: it has to be knitted long enough to fold twice, tight enough to stand up on its own, and loose enough to pull over a head. Get one of the three wrong and the whole garment reads as cheap from across a room.
Close through the body, folded at the neck
It has a classic turtleneck, versatile between formal and casual, snug but comfortable, and easy to care for.
The knit photographed is fine-gauge and close through the body and sleeve, with a ribbed collar folded once, and ribbed cuffs and hem. Six colours appear in the gallery.
How it wears

The product
A classic turtleneck, timelessly sophisticated, versatile across formal and casual settings, snug yet comfortable, and easy to maintain.
Six colours
Oatmeal, black, white, light grey, wine and brown. Check the options above for what is in stock.
Why it costs what it costs
Fine gauge means more stitches per centimetre, which means more time on the machine for the same piece of cloth. A coarse knit hides a loose stitch inside its own texture; a fine one shows every single one, so the tolerance the factory has to work to is far tighter.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the piece
- A fine gauge that layers without bulk
- A collar that folds and stands
- Six colours, one style
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
