Inside leg is the length people order wrong more than any other. An elasticated cuff ends the leg at the ankle whatever the drop underneath it, which is why this shape forgives a size chart that a flat hem would not.

Why it costs what it costs
A tapered leg is drafted, not cut down. The seam has to curve from the thigh to the ankle and still let a foot through the opening, which is why badly tapered trousers either bind at the calf or flap at the shin.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
