High-Waist Leggings
High-waist leggings with a thick pile lining on the inside face. Two colours.
The outside is plain. Everything that makes these warm is on the face you never see.
A lined legging is two fabrics that have to stretch by the same amount
Bond a pile lining to a stretch outer and the two layers fight each other. If the lining gives less than the face fabric the knee bags out after an hour; if it gives more it ripples inside the leg. Getting them to move together is the whole job.
Plain outside, pile inside
These leggings are warm for the cold season, with a high waist, a cosy inner lining, breathable stretch and an elasticated waistband that stays in place.
They are cut with a high rise and a plain elasticated waistband, a smooth outer face and a cream pile lining running the full length of the leg. Two colours are offered.
How they wear
- A high rise with a plain elasticated waistband
- A smooth outer face
- Pile lining down the full length of the leg
- An ankle-length cut
- Two colours
The product
Unparalleled comfort for winter, a high waist that is discreet in all the right places, an inner lining that feels like a blanket without bulk, breathable and flexible stretch, and a waistband that holds through yoga, training or dancing.
Two colours
A black and a grey, both lined in the same cream pile. Check the options above for what is in stock.
Why it costs what it costs
A plain legging is one layer and two seams. A lined one is two fabrics cut separately, matched for stretch and joined without a ridge down the inside of the leg, because a ridge is exactly where a seam rubs.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the pair
- Two fabrics joined as one leg
- Pile lining the full length, not just the thigh
- Two colours, one style
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
