Slanted Print
Canvas Tote 40
A 40 cm canvas tote with a slanted geometric print, tan leather trim and an unlined interior.
Forty centimetres wide and seven hundred grams.
Unlined is the harder way to build a bag
A lining hides every raw edge and every seam allowance. Leaving it out means the inside of the bag has to be finished as carefully as the outside, and it is also the reason a tote this size weighs only 700 grams.
Canvas with leather reinforcement
It has a printed canvas body with leather reinforcements at the base and sides, two leather handles with colour-matched stitching and an unlined interior.
The handles have a strap length of about 21.5 cm. There is a metal snap closure on the front.
How it carries
- Two leather handles, strap length approx. 21.5 cm
- Leather reinforcement at the base and sides
- An unlined interior, so it stays light
- Width 40 cm, depth about 14 cm
- Room for a laptop
The product
Exterior: printed canvas with leather reinforcements at the base and sides. Interior: unlined, for lightness. Hardware: metal closure on the front. Handles: colour-matched leather, strap length approx. 21.5 cm. Width approx. 40 cm, height approx. 32 cm, depth approx. 14–14.5 cm. Weight approx. 0.7 kg.
One colourway
Offered in an ecru canvas with a taupe print and tan leather trim.
Why it costs what it costs
A slanted repeat is far harder to cut than a straight one: the pattern has to run true across the front, round the gusset and down the side without stepping at any seam, and there is no way to nudge a print once the canvas is cut. Most of the waste on this bag is in the lay-up.
We sell direct. There is no shop floor between this bag and you and no distributor taking a cut on the way, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a piece like this is simply not in the price.
- Sold direct — no retail margin stacked on the bag
- Canvas reinforced in leather where it wears
- Unlined, at 0.7 kg for a 40 cm bag
- Colour-matched stitching on the handles
- Seven calendar days from delivery to return or exchange, unworn and in its original condition.
